Evelyne Emmanuel

Ms Emmanuel will be happy to welcome you at Chalet La Mar and to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Do not hesitate to ask her for information or for help, she will be pleased to assist.

A native of Laborie, she knows her village very well and can give you all the details that will make your stay special -- the bakery where you will find the traditional Creole bread, how and at what time you can buy fresh fish, or the path to that secluded beach below the house.

She is also a great cook, and you can make arrangements directly with her if you want her to prepare a delicious meal.

When she is not at Chalet La Mar, Ms Emmanuel is actively engaged in charitable work in her community.

Yves Renard

Mr Renard has lived in Laborie for over 30 years. A few years ago, he transformed the family home into a guesthouse, with a large two-bedroom house and a self-contained cottage.

A consultant by profession, he lives and work on the property, with his apartment located above the main house – feel free to call on him at any time if you need information or if there is anything that could make your stay more comfortable and pleasant.

He is involved in cultural work in the community and strongly believes that Laborie has much to offer to, and benefit from, the kind of visitors who prefer authentic village life, walks in the hills, quiet beaches and local cuisine to the standard features of all-inclusive hotels and mainstream tourist destinations.
